Plastic Logic teases QUE proReader from 8.5 x 11-inch touch screen

Details are limited, since the official launch does not happen until January 7 at CES next year

, but Plastic Logic looking for a disaster in the pro market segment of e-reader(now mostly occupied by Kindle DX ) from his upcoming proReader QUE. The device uses technology from E Ink Vizplex unbreakable display in the regular size piece of paper to 8.5 x 11 inches, courtesy of wireless and 3G capabilities and AT Ts business-centric QUEreader.com ebook store, which will be powered by Barnes Noble. There is also a touch screen interface, but it is not clear if it covers the entire display, if there is something more akin to the leaked pictures we saw with Barnes Noble reader . The device is less than 1/3-inch thick and can handle PDF, Word, PowerPoint and Excel, including tools to interact with the content and management , which is beyond the scope of most e-readers on the market today. We have to wait and see how the interface is really useful and how much damage(if any) that you have read the touch sensor, but a little diversity in space sounds like a good ebook on paper.
