Playa del Carmen Real Estate is always one of the areas which benefits most from tourism investment

The latest news of investment comes from the 2010 "Tianguis Turistico," a nation-wide forum for the tourism industry of Mexico. 22 years after its creation, the Sunset Group has become one of the most important corporate Mexican Caribbean resorts, and at this forum the group announced a new corporate image: Sunset World. With the new image, Sunset will invest 26 million dollars into expanding the Sunset Fishermen Riviera Maya and the complete renovation of Sunset Royal Cancun, while a new 450-room hotel is scheduled in Tres Rios, an "eco-luxury" resort. Also,with two new boutique hotels Laguna Suites Golf & Spa and the Ocean Spa Hotel, Sunset World expanded its range of accommodation to six resorts and over a thousand rooms.

This type of investment shows that the hotel industry has a good deal of confidence in the area to continue attracting tourists and the numbers support the confidence. Playa del Carmen and the Riviera Maya enjoyed one of the strongest recoveries from the recession, with numbers reaching 95% at peak times, significantly better than many locations coming out of the recession, in Mexico or beyond.

For real estate in the area, high tourism numbers and the investment brought as a consequence mean that the activities, services and "tourism infrastructure" (golf courses, marinas, ecoparks, etc.) will also continue to expand, adding to the high quality of life already enjoyed in Playa del Carmen. Essentially, owning real estate in Playa del Carmen will be a solid investment, whether in terms of lifestyle, or in terms of financial gain.

Various Playa del Carmen Property types can be considered for investment purposes. Among these, one which does not often gain the attention it should anymore is Playa del Carmen Land.
