A game online can also help. Once you begin learning you will not forget it. To keep revising the characters it is best if you choose a game on the internet. In most of such games, you have to select a hiragana character corresponding to a Romanized letter of a group of letters. Playing games can make it fun to learn.

Once you begin to get bored with the game and the chart you should get a Japanese book, you can find one on the internet if it is not available in the market. Daily read a page or a two of the book. At the start you may find it difficult, but if you keep at it, it will slowly and surely become easier and before you know it you will be recognizing the hiragana characters with no trouble at all.
