Prejudice - Or Learned Behavior of Hatred and Control

Hatred and prejudice have been around for centuries as despicable sins no matter

who wields the accusations; in fact, they have been around from the beginning of time as we know it. Example after example can be seen in the Bible which specifically points out behaviors that need to be eradicated out of the human race for humanity to become truly human. This eradication begins with knowledge, love, and service.

God created every race of peoples and loves them equally for God is not partial; yet, mankind's understanding of God is partial, prejudicial, and in many, many cases the world over is full of hatred and sin because mankind cannot specifically pinpoint, box in, or have any minute semblance of control or power over Him.

God is not a created being nor is He in any intricate fashion or sense of the word remotely associated as a material part of His creation. C. S. Lewis said it most succinctly in his book Mere Christianity' when he compared the presence of God in the world to an architect surveying the building of a house. The architect can walk through the house which is his design but he is not any material aspect of that house and yet he has control of the design and the materials used in the building of the house.

Known facts that concretely become obvious when one sincerely looks into his/her own heart: those who accuse are usually the most critical or prejudicial of the argument; no one is more critical or prejudicial than a member of one's own family, mind, or race of peoples; prejudice is a buzz-word today used to tear down or to build up what is already a prejudiced or political issue, thought, or idea, people just happen to be the cause and/or brunt of its effects as prejudice is brandished about to exert nothing less than power and control over others; per example, Hitler, Stalin, Tito, Mussolini.

Every past and present dictator has had preference, (prejudice) for his/her own peoples and sought to eliminate the faction or factions that according to ideologies did not fit into the mold by manipulating the tensions, feelings, and emotions of his/her own race and others until it became necessary to eventually rid his/her own peoples, beginning with the peasant first. In truth, these sour degenerative minds actually only sought power and control, aggrandizing their puny egos masquerading as saviors' par excellence!

Below is a small example of prejudice taught, learned, and exercised, with an assumed sense of power and control:

In the spring of 1958, I attended Lincoln Grade School which has since been changed to the name of Heritage, which is a joke in my estimation, because the word heritage means nothing to elementary school children without their knowing and understanding what status, conditions, or character of being born into a certain family or social class mean.

Well, as the story goes, I was in the third grade and used to walk Z home from school which was just a couple of blocks around the corner from my parent's house. We did this a few times happily in the throes of puppy love until one day while standing on Z's parent's porch, her mother came out and said that she was sorry but we could not walk home together anymore. I was polite and didn't make a fuss because we, Z and I, were hurt and confused as Z and I looked at each other somewhat baffled.

The next day in Mrs. Booth's class Z turned around in her desk and said that she couldn't have me walking her home since I was too dark skinned to be with her and that she agreed with her mother on that point. (Imagine that! A third grader.)

Now, I ask you, was this behavior taught to Z by her parents, and because Z wanting to be obedient complied, or did Z come up with this pre-judgment because it was her own innate idea? Did Z not feel a sense of power and control because of this issue and because she sided with her mother, (filial love)? And also, when she relayed the story to her friends at school didn't she gain a morbid sense of importance and illusive feeling of control?

So, let's look at this issue rightly and see that it is a learned behavior because it was a taught idea to begin with, and an accepted one which eventually led to power and control in order to aggrandize herself and her mother's own importance, (in their own eyes at least) no matter how morbid or disgusting.

These little behaviors and attitudes taught to our children eventually lead adults, societies, and governments, to manipulate by prejudicial political means, however cheesy and unpleasant the outcomes may be, even to the point of individual murder and pogroms.

HYDRA, THE MANY HEADED SERPENT

Like Hydra, the many headed serpent,

prejudice reveals her head as a friend

Of the family, because she comes from

within the family. Strangers like or dislike,

They come from a set of opinions. Prejudice

is not what we've been lead to believe. It is

HATE. The hate of another; of their person, a

human being like you and I. Prejudice can

Only be formulated by someone who truly knows

themselves, and those who truly know, are family.
