An amazing amount of blocked drains lately have been coming through our office that could have been so easily avoided.
A prime example of this, one of our plumbers got called to a job last Saturday afternoon at springwood for a toilet that was filling the bowl and not going away. In a panic Mrs. Mitchell rang us to see what we could do to help her in her hour of need as she had visitors coming over that evening.
Our plumber informed her all will be okay and we will fix her blocked drain before her guests arrive. On arrival and testing all drains our plumber isolated the clogged drain to the bathroom toilet only. After plunging the toilet the blockage cleared our plumber wasn't 100% sure that this problem wouldn't happen again. So as a precautionary measure he removed the toilet and found the problem. Wedged at the back outlet of the toilet was a clip on deodorizer that so many people hang on the inside of the toilet bowl.
The Outcome was fine for Mrs. Mitchell on this occasion and others that we attend to but as we pointed out to her the best way to avoid this is to not clip anything onto your toilet.
