, we are always looking for new and exciting ways to get our message accross, traditional TFT, Plasma screens and monitors are fine for smaller locations, but do they give the "edge" you need?
Even with the development of HD, traditional screens still appear a little boring in our eyes and if your requirements are much above 60" then the cost rises on a large scale. This is why we have taken a U-Turn back to projection screens and projectors, but not just those while pull down screens!
Just as other technology races forward, so does projection screen technology!
We are currently using the ClearJekt range of professional projection screens, aimed directly at professional advertising, Point of sale, retail displays and public events, let us tell you, they DO get results! Most people have seen a TFT screen before, they probably have one in their front room, the result is, they have grown "used" to such screens and will often pass them by without a second glance!
So what do we do to ensure we get the attention?
Projectors may seem "old hat" to many, but coupled with new technologies, better resolutions and superior brightness, modern projectors are still a great way to broadcast video. Using a projector with a moden professional screen can give you the advantage of looking different, plus display your message with superior clarity and style!
ClearJekt are manufacturers of "industry leading" projection screens and have a solution to most marketing projects. The Clearjekt range of projections screens are not cheap, but then, you do get what you pay for! What they offer, however, is extreem brightness and clarity over other projection screen solutions and a range of screens to suit almost any job.
We often use the Clearjekt range of self adhesive and non-adhesive projectionfilms to create stunning window displays for retail stores, with the right projector, these films can display vivid presentations, even in strong ambient light, at night, they can literally be seen for miles! The self adhesive films come in several types, from the very dark Ultra XC, for super bright video presentations,to the translucent Clarity film, which is designed for Holographic displays. Clarity is great for evening displays in shop windows, as it allows the user to see the video and look through it into the shop, at the same time!
The projection screen films are similar to those available to tint windows, all be it a lot more expensive, they contain special optical technologies that enhance the light and contrast. The film is easy to cut and in the case of the self adhesive version, is applied to the window in the same manner as sign writers vinyl, perfect for permenent display. The non adhesive films can be mounted in a frame, or adhered with a clear 3m remountable glue, then removed after use and re-used time and time again.
We also use the ClearJekt rigid screen range, unbeatable at public events, again they have a full range, each suited to a particular environment. Screens like these offer superb brightness and clarity of image, perfect at public events, exhibitions, trade shows, concerts and other public venues. The Eclipse II range of rigid projection screens also looks amazing in bars and clubs, the perfect backdrop for the DJ, or a high resolution screen for watching the big matches.
Although this type of professional projection screen comes at a price, in our eyes the performance and way they captivate the crowd soon balances this out. Bear in Mind though, even for a 50 inch window display using Ultra XC, you may be forking out up to 2 grand for the screen and projector!
That brings me to another point, if you are considering an advertising display using professional projection screens, then you do need to consider the projector carefully too. Don't go buying industry leading projection screens and using them with a "cheap, nasty" projector, treat them to a high quality DLP projector and you will get the results you deamed of. If your are presenting in daylight, then also consider the Lumens of the projector carefully! Opt for professional projectors such as Sanyo, Cannon, Toshiba,again, higher priced, but worth every penny in the end!
If your budget is tight, you can get away with a projector from Acer or Optoma, but stick closer to the "high end" for best results. If your presentation is going to be at night, or in a darker environment, then a 2,500 lumen projector may suffice, but the more light the more lumens you will need!
Clearjekt projection screens are all designed for rear projection, some for dual sided projection, rear projection offers up to 10x the brightness and twice the contrast of a front projection screen. This means that using a rear projection screen you can broadcast in places with more ambient light, or create an ultra bright image at dusk.
There was a time we used projection screens from 3m, which, are also good, but the Clearjekt projection screen range offers a littlebetter value for money and a little more overall brightness and contrastcompard toit's 3M competitor.
The Clarity projection screen is a favourite with our clients, especially when used as a Holographic screen. TryClarity with a 3D projector, OK, the observer needs to put on glasses, but, because of the translucence of the screen, when the glasses are on the screen disappears and all that is left if the images. It appear that the images are just floating there in thin air and the 3D effect makes it amazing to see!
