Managing Project in any industry requires a lot of due diligence, planning, following up and going through alot of iterations to make it successful. The key is to make sure the channels of communications are open at all times. Most of the projects fail at some point due to lack of communication between different entities.

Project Management is a science as it follows certain set of rules set up by industry experts in a guide called PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge). PMBOK is an industry standard guide which outlines key processes and defines different knowledge areas to establish a benchmark for the Project Manager. There are five process groups and nine knowledge area that provides a reference to a Project Manager to plan and successfully execute their Projects. The Project Manager uses the tools and techniques at various phases, identifies input and output for each of the processes and documents it as the Project progresses. As every Project is unique, a Project Manager has to plan things differently, baseline his Projects several times and utilize different tools and techniques in different situations. The key for success is to tailor everything as per Organization needs.

Project Manager is an art, as in a broader sense finishing the project on a timeline is not just the goal. The goal is add a business value to the organization. These are the soft skills that every Project Manager has to demonstrate to make the Project a success story. A Project Manager can create a communication plan by following the tools and techniques, but in order to make his communication plan effective Project Manager has to work on a constant endeavor to make the team believe in it. A Work Break down structure can be created using a template, but only by brainstorming it with the team can create a correct document, which requires participation by each team member. In other words a Project Manager has to motivate the team members and make them believe that their complete involvement is not only necessary to achieve the timelines, but it is also required to set up Project Matrices correctly.

This clear distinction between the two components can create an everlasting impact on the Project audience. Remember we are only successful if we all believe the final Product is true reflection of our efforts and hence it becomes necessary for Project Managers to constantly interview the team members and take their feedback. If the foundation is strong and stable the structure will definitely stand tall and shine amongst others
