Hi I am going to tell you how to use orkut promote option to promote your web hosting news or offer on orkut
. This is a free tool through which you can spread the news to all your friends in your orkut friend list.
This tool lets you promote a text ad to video ad that someone may be interested in.
Prepare your hosting offer that you want to convert into ad. Lets get started, click the promote button in your orkut profile.
There are options for text ad, image ad and video ad.
For text ad you have a content field where you can put about 200 characters. Write the text for your promotion and describe what you want to promote in this field. You can even choose the code for the color and style of your text by clicking the scrap markup link below the content field.
For image add you can put about 96 characters in the content field and choose photo from your orkut album for select a public photo to support that ad.
For video ad also you can put about 96 characters in the content field and then paste the URL of the video in paste a YouTube URL field in support of your ad. Here is your hosting promotion ready to be submitted. Now click create promotion button. Your promotion will automatically be sent to all your orkut friends.
Your hosting ad will be displayed in the top right corner of your friends orkut profile pages. Promotion comes with orkuts built-in spread and trash features. If your orkut promotion is interesting enough and your friend likes it he/she will suggest it to their orkut friends by clicking this spread option and so on. If someone doesnt like your ad he/she can press the trash button so that he/she never sees it again.
If you want to see how your promotion is doing press the my promotion button within the promote tool. The unique users section shows how many users viewed your ad, how many clicked on and how many trashed it. Reach section lets you show how far your ad is spread.
Once your promotional offer is over and you dont want it to run anymore stop or delete it any time by clicking the delete promotion button.
