Promote Your Website With Facebook Marketing

Facebook is one of the biggest social bookmarking sites on the web

. I must admit that I have an account that I use for both personal and business purposes. I do the same with Myspace.

There are some distinct differences between Myspace and Facebook. Firstly, Myspace is much bigger than Facebook. The second main difference is that Facebook is more secure and doesn't let fake profiles in, nearly as much.

For that reason alone, I think that some of the biggest names in Internet Marketing are using it for networking purposes. I'm friends with some of the biggest names in Internet Marketing and I'm adding to it by the day.

One very effective thing that you can do is start a group or groups and have people join them. It is a very interactive list of people that you can develop and work with.

Way, way more responsive than having a regular mailing list. They don't get your message in a mail-box where they may be bombarded by spam or all the other junk mail and mail from other Internet Marketers that have them on their list.

Think about this. People have your trust built up. You're on their friends list. They can read your full profile and learn about you. They can see pictures of you. They can see and interact with other people that are in your group etc.

It is way more personal and they will open up to you way more. I have several mailing lists, but they aren't nearly as responsive as my groups. When you send them an e-mail, many bad things can happen.

They might not even see your e-mail because of different guards that they have. They might just delete your e-mail, without even reading it for many reasons. They may just have too many e-mails to read etc.

The last and probably most important factor, is this. You get to separate yourself from the crowd. A simple reason for that. What is more congested, more im-personal, more easy to ignore? Their own e-mail inbox.

I will get probably a hundred or two-hundred e-mails a day. I will probably get a couple messages in my Facebook account per-day. I'm sure I'm like most people and I'm sure that I'll read all of my Facebook messages and I'm sure that I won't read most of my e-mails because I get spam and the like, just like other people.
