Promotional Eco Pencils - Great Choice Of Materials That Won't Cost The Earth!

All of us our doing our best these days to be kind to the planet and make the most

of its resources and eco considerations are often paramount when making our buying choices.

If you have been given the job of sourcing a fun, low cost promotional item recycled pencils are a brilliant idea.

You (and the ultimate recipients of your promotional pencils) could be surprised at the materials that pencils can be made from these days and the fact that the materials used are out of the norm adds a wonderful extra dimension of interest to the product. Everyone wants their promotional item to be a talking point.

My favourite pencils are the one which are made from recycled bank notes! The notes make up usually around 30% of the total material of the pencils with the rest made from recycled plastic to create a quality writing instrument with eco credentials.

Denim is another popular material to recycle and turn into pencils. Perfect if you are in the fashion or fabric sector.

There are pencils made from recycled paper too. These tend to have a very 'natural' or rustic look to them. This is exactly the look some people are after but if you need the pencils themselves to be coloured then pencils made from recycled newspapers will fit the bill better.

Pencils made from recycled newspapers don't just come in black and white (or pink for those financially minded) the come in a range of great colours including red, yellow, green, blue and of course black, white and pink too!

These are useful if you need the pencils themselves to be a good match to company colours or the colour of a new brand or product.

Another great material for making Eco pencils from is recycled plastic lunch trays.

The quality of all these pencils is such that if you were given one you wouldn't necessarily know that they were made from recycled materials at all so I really recommend that you advertise the fact!

If you are branding the pencils with your own designs don't forget to get the promotional company who supplies them for you to include details of what they are made from. Including lines such as "this pencil is made from recycled money" or "I used to be part of a pair of jeans" adds interest to the product and give more allegiance to your brand because you show you care and have gone to the trouble of sourcing and environmentally friendly products.

Other fun eco pencils include Twig Pencils which are made using naturally shaped sustainable timber. Young children love these and they go down brilliantly with cubs and scouts at camp or any with any children involved in outdoor activities who think these are marvellous!

At the other end of the scale some really smart 'Executive Writing Sets' again made using certified sustainable timber are available. Supplied in beautifully crafted wooden presentation boxes these can be either printed or laser engraved for a striking finish natural finish in line with the ethos of the product.
