Prophets and messengers are all the same: like all human beings
All prophets and messengers of God, for those who believe in God and His messengers, are the same and equal footing with all humans. When God commanded the angles and demons to prostrate unto man, in the person of Adam, when God fashioned him and breathed into him from His spirit, this implied that all men are alike.
Man is that despicable beast who is ungrateful enough to deny God who has made him from nothing. Man was nothing, not even mentioned on the list of beings, as part of the human species or chimpanzee one or not even the cockroach species.
No one prophet or messenger sent by God has told his people to bow down before him and worship him. Not even Jesus Christ, who Christians bow unto him and worship him as a God, did command the Israelites, the pagans, the Christians, to bow unto him and in worship, consider him as a God.
No one prophet or messenger of God, from Adam to Noah, Abraham, Isaac or Jacob, Moses, David, John the Baptist, Christ or Muhammad, did command their people whom they were sent to as messengers and prophets of God giving glad tidings and warning against doomsday, to be distinguished above men or other prophets and messengers. No one prophet or messenger pretended to be of divine origin or any authority.
They all preached the message of one God, the eternal and only, the unique and indivisible one, the all mighty, all wise, all knowledgeable and all wise, creator of the universe, who does not beget nor is He begotten. They all proclaimed unto mankind the worship of God and only Him. They all proclaimed the message of obeying God and applying only His Law.
They all denied humans the right to bow down in front of anything else in worship and reverence. All were commanded to deliver the divine message of belief in God and the Last Day and to perform good deeds and shun evil deeds. All prophets and messengers were on equal footing. All Are humans. No distinction men ought to make between the prophets and messengers of God.
But humans being despicable, arrogant and ignorant, made of their prophets and messengers, masters, lords, even divine and sons of God and Christians went to an extent where no other people did, by considering Christ as God Himself and worship Christ as their Lord. What blasphemy and what distortion of truth!
Jews were commanded not to take anything for worship besides God and to worship only God, the eternal and All Mighty. Muslims do not worship Muhammad for they are forbidden to associate anything with God and worshipping other than God is a great and abominable sin that merits eternal punishment by burning in Hell fire (Gahanna).
Humans, in the three monotheistic religions, are the same but they are distinguished by God Himself, in this world and in the hereafter according to the criterion of piety to God.
No man has the right to distinguish himself, or herself, from other human beings. This is the domain of God only. On the day of reckoning humans shall be resurrected again to account for their own deeds.
They shall be judged and those who believed in God and the Last Day and the messengers and messages of God as well as His angels and performed good deeds in their life, shall be rewarded by eternal felicity. They shall be judged according to their belief and actions and they shall be distinguished according to this criterion from each other and hence rewarded accordingly.
Those who chose disbelief and did evil deeds in their life they shall be thrown in Hell Fire for eternity. All is founded on the Promise of God in His messages to mankind. All prophets and messengers are commanded to remind humans of the message of God and are advised to worship God and take heed against doomsday.
Humans are left the freedom of choice to believe or disbelieve, obey or disobey the command of God. Then, they are all called to account for their reactions in their earthly life to the message of God.
So prepare yourself for such a Day, whether you are a believer, or a disbeliever!
