Why is Prospecting so important? It is virtually impossible to expand your business without it. To make matters more interesting you have literally about ten seconds to capture their attention.
When Prospecting, one must ' qualify ' a person in order to make sure they really do want what you have to offer and also if they are worth investing any of your time in. Time is valuable in this Business and one can not afford to waste it.
The advantages are obvious success if you ideally find those people who do fit the bill. However, there IS a skill set which can make any business achieve more success. Two key factors in Prospecting are one's own confidence level and simply having the right people to talk to. This skill set is taught and can be applied to any business or product.
The disadvantages nowadays, are finding just any ' body ' to listen to what you have to offer. It is considered to be a thing of the past.
