Many novice computer geeks are of the view that a virus that infects our computer systems is generated by the companies that are there to market their antivirus. This may be true for some unethical companies that are there to make a fast buck and then find some other unethical way to make money.

Why would such large organizations as Microsoft, Mcaffe, Norton, AVG, Avira, Nod, Kapersky etc involve in making a virus, flood it over the internet and then launch an antivirus for it. Although it is not really difficult to go this way but the stakes are high, so high that I don't think a good business of repute will take this course of action. Hacking or manufacturing of a virus started as a hobby. With students trying to play pranks on their peers. But today it has become a full fledged organized crime. It's just like terrorism or to be more precise cyber terrorism where a group of people with vested interests. They may enter a network where they are unauthorized and may steal data or commodities which has become a common site these days given the era of E commerce and M commerce. They may seize a large number of bank accounts and steal money. They may even enter your computer and take out the data that you have there as your intellectual property and may sell it in the market for a high price thus giving making you feel cheated.

As hackers and stealers are getting smart Antivirus companies and companies like Secure team that are there to protect you against this cyber terrorism are getting smarter. They tend to remain three steps ahead of the cyber criminals. Do not worry as you are safe till ethical antivirus companies are there.
