We are lucky enough to have thousands of golf courses in America, all though golf is very popular in other parts of the world as well, for example in Europe were golf was actually invented on the island of Scotlnad.

If you're in Scotland you have lots of really great golf courses to choose from, however, where should you go to play a round when you are in America? Well, golf is very popular all of the country but there are some states where it's bigger than in others. Those states are Arizona and Florida. In Arizona for example, you'll find hundreds of courses. There are a lot of them in Florida as well, mainly around the tourist area of the state.

When you are considering your options you'll encounter public and private golf courses. In case you don't know the difference, public courses are open for anyone as opposed to private golf courses were you need to be a member in order to play. The private golf courses also tend to be a bit more formal than the public ones. Just pick whatever option fits you best really.

What's great about the lack of formality on the public courses is that you can take your time. Since there are a lot fewer rules on the public golf courses, no one will rush you if you are a bit slow. It's very likely that you'll be a bit slow if you are a beginner golfer. Another perk is that you can wear whatever you want on the public courses.

Other then that, just try to take a look around and see if it looks like a fun course, if it does, it probably is!
