The goal of learning the golf swing basics is to put them into action out on the green. Once you learn the proper grip, alignment, backswing, downswing, etc. you will be ready to put all of them together to improve your golf swing.
This is when the fun begins. Implementing all of the basics that you have learned will be both time consuming and rewarding. It will take time and patience to be able to consistently get great shots. When you step out on the green remember to maintain your focus. By maintaining your focus you will be able to concentrate on all of the basics that you have learned. If you become nervous you may grip the handle too tight from the tension building up in your body.
If you have a hard time remaining focused, it may be a good idea to learn a few relaxation techniques. You can use the relaxation techniques when you are on the green to calm your nerves and help you focus on driving the ball as far as possible.
Once you learn all of the golf swing basics you will be well on your way to having a better game. You will be amazed at the difference the basics make on your game.
