Questions You Should Ask About Golf Gps Units
Golf GPS Units are all the rage
Golf GPS Units are all the rage. If you are one of the millions of golfers who do not have their own personal caddy to assist with every shot, then maybe one of these units is for you. They seem to do everything except drive the cart. There will probably be an app for that soon.
You can choose between the stand-alone models or, if you have a smart phone, a downloadable application, or app. The downloads may be basic range finding and course layouts or packed with most of the bells and whistles the dedicated models contain. And the bells and whistles are almost too numerous to list.
Basic programs for either model will include course guides and range finding. It is easy to load additional courses. And, why not upgrade your color display and add 3D? Most displays are already in color, but not all.
Now for the fun stuff. They can keep your score, figure your handicap, keep your stats in several formats and link to your computer to sync your info to your laptop. How about touch screen control instead of buttons, or aerial views instead of line drawings?
You are not done yet. A good caddie will have suggestions about club choice and course management. So will a good golf GPS. Pin placement not what your course map shows? There are units with adjustable pin positioning. Download course layouts while waiting to tee off. Upload your stats as you walk to the 19 TH hole. If there is a need, there is probably an app.
Receive news updates on your favorite pros and equipment reviews. And should you happen to be on the course, get real time scoring for multiple tournaments. Of course, because it is a GPS, it can give you road navigation as well as golf course navigation.
Are you wondering if it can make phone calls? Not yet. Watch a movie or listen to your music and scroll through your photos? No problem. How about waterproofing in case of rain? That is available.
There are plenty of things to choose from when it comes to golf GPS Units. You can get them straight or loaded to the hilt. There is a stand-alone model or you might just download a great app. Now, if it could just correct that slice.
