Rack depths can vary depending on model type from 18.9 to 25.6. These drawers are equipped with features like ball bearings that hold the unit in place when it is not in use and prevent it from sliding in or out during use. With the addition of a two inch wide palm rest, the keyboard can be easily used. In and out drawer movements are not restricted by cables since these devices have rear mounted cable carriers.

The Rackmount Drawer can have PS2 and/or USB interfaces as well as a variety of video inputs including VGA, HDMI, DVI, S-Video, and Composite RCA or BNC. Offering multi language support, these devices are compatible with all kinds of KVM switches. FCC, CE and RoHS certified, these devices are available with 12V, 24V, and 48V DC power options. All these features make it a popular choice in places where there is a limitation of space. This drawer can be ordered with several combinations of KVM and keyboard/mouse/video configurations. The control function allows multiple computers to be managed, set up, administered and maintained from a single console drawer with an integrated KVM switch.

Available in many switch styles such as the USB switch, PS2 switch, IP KVM switch or the Cat5 switch, the Rackmount KVM Drawer also differs with screen sizes including 17, 19 and 20. The KVM over IP version of this device allows remote access to servers over the TCP/IP network via web browser and is SSL V2/V3 encrypted for secure transmission. This device is preferred over the other versions available as it enables increased distance of up to 40 meters between the switch and your servers in addition to the configurable advanced user profiles and OSD hot key combinations. The Cat5 version is an ideal solution for larger networks that have multiple servers in several locations.
