Randy Orton Turns Face

The strange thing during the triple threat match at Wrestlemania that caught many people's eye was that Orton was getting heavily cheered during the match. This was something that many people didn't expect. Never the less, Orton has now made his big switch to a face.

This is a fairly new concept to Orton since has been a heel for the majority of his career. He's actually been a heel his entire time as a main event wrestler in WWE, up to this point. Right now, it feels kind of awkward seeing Orton as a heel.

The best thing that could happen to Orton right now is if he gets drafted to Smackdown during WWE's 2010 Draft. Right now, the top face on Raw is John Cena. But if Randy gets drafted to Smackdown, then he can develop his face character. After his face character has been completely developed on Smackdown, he can be drafted back to Raw at next year's Draft.

The thing is, no one really knows what type of a face character Orton really is. This is because everyone is so accustomed to his heel character. This is a good sign for WWE that Randy's face character needs to be a lot further developed.

I think it was a great decision to finally turn Orton face. He's been a heel for a very long time now, and it was getting kind of stale. Good move by WWE, now they just have to focus on developing his new character.
