Ras Al Khaimah Free Zone was launched on 3rd January 2006 by Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone Authority
. It was launched for competing directly with Dubai Media City.
Ras al khaimah free zone is banking on the fact that Dubai cost of living is skyrocketing and Ras Al Khaimah is the place to go, to avoid all that expensive cost of setting up a business.

The Industrial Park:
It is situated approximately 15 kilometers north of the emirate and very close to Saqr Port.
