The Richmond community College was established in April 1964 when it was known as

Richmond Technical College, but in July 1987 the college name changed to Richmond community college. RCC College is one of north Californias most popular community colleges that provide students a variety of associates degree program. The RCC college programs are known nationwide due to its same opportunity policy to all students as the college does not differentiate their students on the basis of race, color, religion, sex or disability.

RCC College is recognized with SAC (Southern Association of Colleges) and SCC (School Commission on Colleges). The associate degree nursing program, offered by RCC is approved by the North California Board of Nursing. The RCC CNA certification program is one of nursing programs that most of students found mile stone in their career and the program makes them capable to take National Council Licensure examination.

The RCC CNA certification program provides students essential knowledge and skills in nursing field to enhance their working quality in health care area, so that they can meet an individuals health needs, confidently and independently.

In order to get enrolled in RCC College you must submit an application for admission, online or personally to the college. The college processes your application further, only when you submit your high school diploma. If you have GED, you must submit it along with your official score. If you are a graduate from a non-public high school, you are required to submit a proof of recent registration with Department of Non-public education of North California. Thus the RCC admission commission requires you to submit all official transcripts received by any college or school. After submitting your all official documents you can be able to join the RCC associate degree nursing program.

The RCC CNA certification program is 76 hours long duration program that is divided into three semesters, fall, spring and summer. The fall semester of program covers 38 hours of training, spring semester includes 33 hours of training and summer semester combines only 5 hours of course program. Thrice of semesters make students proficient in both educational and clinical nursing skills. The whole program is designed to provide students essential health care knowledge that makes them eligible to take National Council Licensure Examination.

On the completion of the program students become able to appear NCLEX exam and passing of both theoretical and practical sections of licensure exam awards students CNA certification. The nurse aides having certification are permitted to practice in North California health organizations.
