This only shows that an effective concept can always represent the company even without its name attached to it.

We are all aware that black and white prints are cheaper compared to elaborately colored prints. This is also applicable to art pieces. The more strikingly colorful a concept entails, the higher the printing costs compared to du-tone (two-colored) prints.

Remember that the symbol will be printed, reproduced, or even engraved in company materials. They will also be scaled to various sizes and lengths. With that, an elaborate technique will easily appear as an unrecognizable mark when scaled too small. Therefore, it is better to keep it simple and plain.
