Real-time GPS tracking systems provide live tracking of people and objects for safety

, personal interest and asset management. Real-time GPS tracking systems can be purchase and will be installed. You can install your own real-time GPS tracking system by simply using a GPS-enabled cell phone and the map free GPS-tracking software.

Create a free map account at the map website. Click on the emailed link to activate your account. Log in to map website with your user name and password. Click "Devices" > "Add a new device."

In the Device label text box, and enter an identifying name for your phone. Select "Imperial units." Click the "Add" button.

In the New Device screen, note the 13-digit device key assigned to your phone. Download and install the GPS Tracker application on your phone, using the link for your phone's make and model.

Open the GPS Tracker application on your phone. Enter the 13-digit device key. Click "Save."

Log in to map website to view markers (waypoints) and segments (tracks) sent by your phone to Google Maps. View Time, Altitude, Speed, Heading, Latitude and Longitude.

To organize historical data into saved tracks, click "Devices." Click the "Data" link next to the device name. Left-click on the start and end waypoints of your track.

To embed a map of your current location on a blog, website or Face book, click "Devices." Click the "Sharing" link next to the device name. At the Enable Sharing for this Device prompt, click "OK."

On the Location Sharing page, select from the options to send a direct URL, install the Face book application, or use the wizard to generate the HTML code for embedding a map.

A GPS logger is a device used to track vehicles and people. Parents can use GPS tracking to track their teen's driving habits and to make sure they end up where they are suppose to be. It is inconspicuous to track a car using a GPS. The person driving the car will not know that there is a logger in the car. The GPS vehicle tracking systems will not track vehicles in real time but it will allow the user to see where someone has been.

Instructions:

Turn on the GPS logger by sliding or pressing the on/off button on the side of the tracker.

2 Place the logger or personal GPS vehicle tracking device in a hidden spot in the car. Under a seat, in the glove box or in the trunk is a good spot to hide it.

3 Remove the device from the car after two weeks. The batteries will last for two weeks at the most.

4 Plug the USB end of the GPS vehicle tracking device into the USB port on the computer. A map will pop up showing up to 100 hours of driving history. GPS tracking systems will include their own software on a CD.
