Reason Why Google Does Not Update Page Rankings Often

There has been another update of page rank in the last couple of weeks

, but it seems as if it affected only the sites that previously had a page rank of zero. The question many are asking is when will Google update the Page Rank of all the other sites and showed a page rank?

This latest update seems to be very similar to the previous page refresh range in which the older sites are also not updated. Through reading various websites about the webmaster other opinions about the current trend, I found a number of reasons why this may be happening.

Over the past two years have seen a fairly large number of link exchange programs that have been created. These have proved very popular, but are not well regarded by Google as the people who enter these programs are somehow cheating to reach the top. Most people are aware of the importance of back links and these link exchange programs make it very easy to get them. In clear however, Google's guidelines that webmasters should not participate in these link exchange programs. Webmasters who are ahead are still at risk for having your website or banned sites.

The problem could be that it is very hard for search engines like Google to establish the links that each site is obtained from such trade links and links that are real and valid real links. It is possible that Google is close to finding a formula for this problem and is delaying the updates page rank in the most ancient sites until all the finishing touches are completed. My advice is to never take part in any of these link exchange programs and if you are currently in one, to get out of it as soon as possible.

There are many valid ways of promoting a website, and through writing articles and having good content that would encourage other webmasters who want to link to your site.

I have to say that for someone like myself who work hard to promote my own website, which is very frustrating not to see changes in the line of the page, like when I see my site up in page rank will gives me a little boost and shows me that I'm still doing the right things. In a way, really should not matter though, as I can see my web sites have a higher ranking in search engines, this in itself, of course, is the most important. It is also a good thing that Google is trying to stop people who are trying to deceive his way to the top, which is, of course, if this is the real reason that there has been a complete update row page for some time.
