A principal may evaluate a new teacher once a semester or even a couple of times a semester in order to give the new teacher good feedback. During the evaluation, the teacher may look for things like organization, how well the students are paying attention, how well the teacher can control her students, and how effective the lessons are. Once a principal does an evaluation, he or she should go over the notes that they made with the teacher so that they will know how to improve.

A teacher evaluation is important to help new and old teachers create better teaching strategies and lesson plans for their classes. If a lesson is unorganized, then the principal can suggest ways for a teacher to change or be more focused. They might even recommend that the teacher should take a workshop on organization. Students will learn and focus better if the teacher is organized and makes the lessons very clear.
