Reasons Why Some Students Bully

Bullying is an abusive act wherein the imbalance of power is visible

. For example, a person may feel superior to the other person. He will use this superiority to bully. Bullying exists in different places such as at home, neighborhood, family, or at workplace. In this article, we will tackle the bullying done at school. The reasons why students bully are elaborate in this article. School bullying is a bullying that occurs in connection with education, either inside or outside the school. There are thee different forms of bullying and these are emotional, verbal, or physical.

Why do some students bully? Certainly, there are several reasons why students bully. This article tackles about the common reasons why students bully other students. Students who bully have a lot of concerns on their lives. Even if they bully other students, they are still students who need attention from their parents and families.

i)Insecurities

The primary reason why a student may bully other students is insecurity. Students may feel unwanted by the people they love, their family and friends. They are insecure of themselves and they think that the best way to blow away that insecurity is by bullying. Some students who bully feel the pleasure they can get through bullying. This can be alarming to the parents. How will they know if their children is bullying? That is if they are constantly being called by the head teacher or the principal and reports the abusive act of your children.

The parent should ensure their love for their child. They must take into consideration that their children badly need their love, and the love must be felt by the child. The parent should be able to find bonding time with their children. Bonding time may be done through simple ways for example, by helping them do their homework, teaching them those lessons in school, even by going to church together every weekend. Quality time is the best gift a parent can give to the children. They may want those PS3 and PS4, but a time with their parents is what they really need.

ii.)Lack of Attention

Another reason why student bully is that they are lacking the attention they need from their loved ones, family, friends, and peers. There are a lot of cases wherein bullies bully due to lack of attention. Students who bully may think that bullying can be a way for them to be popular and recognized. Bullying can be their way of saying that they are tough. They feel their superiority amongst other students. Students bully may think that by making other students feel bad will let them feel better. Parents should something for their children. They should make sure that they are paying attention to their children. Ignoring the child can make him or her feel unwanted. The child will seek for more attention and will consider bullying other students.

iii.)Jealousy

Jealousy is one of the reasons why some students bully. Students who bully may envy their victim. Even though bullies are considered tough at school, inside their hearts they are jealous on the other person that is why they keep on bullying him or her. Bullies don't admit to themselves that they envy what other person has. The victim may have a lot of friends in school, smart and popular, and most of all most people recognize him or her more than the one bullying. How will parents work on this? The parent must accept their child for who they are. Thy must not compare their children to others. This may trigger the child to be jealous. He wants to have what other people have just to impress his parents.

Bullying is an act common in school. More and more students are victimized by these bullies. However, bullies are still people who want to be loved and should be loved. As a parent, you should be responsible of the acts of your children, especially in school. Students who bully need help.
