Recognizing Six Steps to Laminate in Scrapbooking

People commonly use laminating for keeping their important documents, photos, and signs from getting worn or destroyed. Today, laminating is also applied for scrapbooking. The main purpose of scrapbooking is basically to preserve memories. Besides, laminating is also used for many scrapbooking enthusiasts such as preserving newspaper clippings, photographs, and special announcements. At this time, this article is going to give you six steps to laminate in scrapbooking.

The first step is to plug the laminator in and then turn it on.

The second step is to take the object you are going to laminate and slide it to one of the laminate envelopes. If the envelope is too large for your item, you can cut it down. If there is any excess material, it may be reused on the smaller item.

The third step that you have to do is to insert the laminate envelope into the laminating machine. You have to be careful when you insert this envelope to the machine. Just guide it from the back end through the machine without pushing and do not use too much force. This is for keeping the envelope to get sucked into the machine at an angle.

The fourth step that you need to do is to let the envelope completely comes out from the machine before you touch it. Just wait for several minutes until the envelope is cool. While you are waiting for the envelope to get cool, you need to keep it on a cool, flat surface so that you can use it in scrapbooking.

The fifth step is to resize the laminate envelope. Resizing the laminate envelope can be done by cutting any excess material off. In this case, the scissors can be use in the cutting process. Or, it will be perfect if you are using specialty scrapbooking scissors for getting a decorative edge.

The sixth step is to ensure that you have a proper adhesive. Since lamination is heavier than most of scrapbooking paper, you will need a sturdy glue in a way to secure the laminated item in your album page.
