Refurbishment Project Begins At Dusit Thani Hotel In Dubai

Dusit Thani Dubai has started the renovation work of its guest rooms; the largest

refurbishment project that has been carried out since the hotel opened 11 years ago.

The work is scheduled to be completed by the end of September this year and tourists taking Dubai holidays at the luxury hotel will be able to enjoy access to modern technology within a contemporary and relaxing environment.

The manager of Dusit Thani Dubai, James Wilson, commented: This is an exciting time for us as a hotel. The property has just celebrated its 11th anniversary and weve seen a lot of change in the city landscape around us. While we have done light refurbishments throughout the hotel over the years, the hotel is now in a position in which an extensive refurbishment will firmly place us in a more competitive position.

Situated in the heart of Dubais commercial district, the five-star hotel has 321 guest rooms, suites and residences in total. This is the hotels first refurbishment phase and the second stage of the project will be carried out in summer 2013 and will include renovations of the remaining 147 one and two bedroom residences.

Visitors staying in Dusit Club Rooms and Dusit Grand Rooms during holidays to Dubai have access to the Dusit Lounge and they can enjoy additional amenities including butler services, complimentary breakfast and afternoon tea, all-day non-alcoholic beverages, pressing and laundry facilities and airport transfers in a limousine.

The guest rooms will be refurbished with light and modern dcor and furnishings that are influenced by the hotel brands rich Thai cultural heritage, as well as modern amenities that will allow them to enjoy convenient connectivity.

Mr Wilson added: Being a Thai hotel brand, it is important that while we embrace our location and incorporate international design, we remain true to our company DNA. With the Dusit brand expanding internationally we have chosen a design which will put our rooms more in line with international standards while ensuring that there are still strong elements of Thai design throughout the rooms.
