Remote Access Features Connects You Everywhere
span>Share:
This technical term has created a massive impact on whole over the world. It is possible now to connect every computer operating in any part of the world. The technical advances have created a space for everyone to be interconnected. There are various ways of connecting to the remote computers and the process may be wired or wireless. The need for
remote access is mostly prevalent in corporate industries.
One such basic type is remote internet access. The remote internet access uses a particular technology wherein the internet service provider creates a backbone bridge for the users. The backbone provides a gateway for both the connecting and the connected parties. The most common technology to connect to an internet service provider is through a dial up modem VPN or Virtual Private Network. After dialing the number of the service provider, there is a response which is demodulated by the modem. This response asks a few basic authenticated questions that need to be passed else your connection is lost.
After having an internet connection and a platform that supports remote accessing to the different computers which are also compatible to remote accessing, then you are ready to start the process of connecting. The network service provider does not feature a remote connection facility rather they provide the bridge for the same. Most of the people get a misconception that the internet is a company owned by the network service provider. But it is the biggest wrong notion to be followed. The example below will explain what internet is all about.
Suppose you are going to create a small internet connection at your home. To start with internet there is certain basic elements which make this a wholesome attractive process. The internet connection, the internet browser supporting various applications, web addresses and the interface of web addresses. Coming to the example, take 4 to 5 laptops or desktops in one room. Manage to get a hub or switch with 5 to 6 RJ-45 jack slots. Now, bring 5 cables and everything you need to set up for getting a network is with you. Switch on all the computers and plug-in the hub and sequentially connect each computer to the hub. After connecting all of them to the hub, you make one computer as a server by making a common work group. Now, you have to switch on the sharing properties on all the computers and you are done with a small segment of internet.
In the example, the hub plays the role of the backbone or the service provider and the computers connected are the end users. Similar is the concept of
remote access when the nearby computers in the room in the example become far away computers. The only thing you need is the remote access software.
