Are you one of the many who feel uncomfortable when talking to people
? Do you feel lonely? Do you get fed up of turning invitations down? If so read on & learn how to Remove Social Anxiety.....
I'm sure you know that Social Anxiety (SA) is a type of phobia that causes high levels of anxiety in certain situations. Although this can be scary it is treatable. If you have been looking for ways to Remove S A from your life just imagine a time when you can look forward to evenings out, going to your favourite restaurants & meeting new people at parties without feeling anxious. Think about how good it will feel when you don't have to or look for reasons why you can't accept those invites, or make excuses that you are feeling ill?
When dealing with S A it's important to note that the way you think can affect how you behave here is an example:
Zoe tried very hard to avoid as many social encounters as possible. This included work events, going to the doctor or dentist & even family gatherings.
When faced with situations she was uncomfortable in Zoe used to fear that people were judging her, thinking her stupid or boring
She used to blush, tremble & sweat causing her to mop her face when speaking. This had the opposite effect that she wanted & would only draw attention to her.
Because she was worried that she would have to chat to people over coffee/lunch Zoe declined going to seminars at work. After yet another promotion passed her by she was sure that being overlooked was in some part due to this.
She would make excuses not to go out saying she was ill or had another appointment.
Avoided sporting activities that could have given her a boost, & declined her neighbour's invite to take up a new hobby.
To avoid having to say hello to an acquaintance she crossed the road. This could have been solved by just saying Hi as she walked briskly past, no need for a conversation if she didn't feel up to it.
The way Zoe used to think also altered her physically & she felt
Dizzy
Sweaty & hot
Shaky
Sick
Found it hard to breath
Her energy levels had become very low because she had avoided activities that she had once enjoyed for so long. As a consequence Zoe felt tired a lot of the time.
Zoe often used to cut conversations short in an effort to get away as soon as possible because of her anxious feelings this had the negative effect of people finding her rude & standoffish.
Any of this sounding familiar? It doesn't have to be this way, it's possible to Remove Social Anxiety & get back to your former self.
Everyone is different, the world would be a boring place if that wasn't true. Just imagine if we all looked the same, dressed the same or were the same height? Exactly, not possible, in this world there are opposites, people are tall, short, extroverts & introverts. Some folk talk a lot, some loud, others prefer to stay out of the limelight & not be the centre of attention. That doesn't mean anyone people who are naturally quiet & shy needs to feel stupid, boring or inadequate in any way. If you do feel like this then you can make changes.
