Renault Scala All Set To Be Launched By The Festive Season

Renault India is gearing up to launch yet another car in the Indian car market

, this is going to be a sedan though it will not be a premium sedan and will be a part of the C segment, the new car has already set high expectations after the launch of Renault Duster in India. Renault Scala which will be a redesigned version of Nissan Sunny sedan will be placed a notch higher than Sunny in India. Renault Scala price in India is also going to be tagged higher than Sunny sedan price. If compared to Sunny sedan, Scala will have a roomier passenger seat. This is going to be the highlight of the compact sedan. Talking more about the comfort factor of the sedan, presence of rear AC vents will make it more comfortable for the passengers.

Top end version of Nissan Sunny sedan is equipped with safety features like dual airbags and anti lock braking system as standard, similarly the top end version of the Renault Scala will also come incorporated with same safety features like, dual airbags and anti lock braking system as standard. Renault Scala India sedan will be launched in both petrol engine and diesel engine options. The petrol variant will be armed with a 1.5 litre HR15DE petrol engine, this engine is capable of generating a maximum power of 100 Bhp. On the other hand the diesel variant of the sedan will be powered with a 1.5 litre K9Ktrubo diesel engine that produces a maximum power of 85 Bhp. These engine options are available in Nissan Sunny petrol and diesel variants too.

Renault is planning to launch Scala sedan in India during the festive season, not only Scala but 30 other cars will also be launched in the Indian car market. Customers are going to be benefited the most from these new car launches; they will have more choice in each segment to pick from. Renault has always made sure that it tags its cars higher than its global alliance Nissan, in case of Scala too it is going to follow the same rule, therefore expect Renault Scala price to be Rs 20,000 to Rs 60,000 pricier than Sunny sedan. At this cost when the customers are getting the same option in the form of Sunny.

Would the customers go for Sacla? What else will Renault come up with to make sure that people do not ignore Scala over Sunny which is already doing pretty well in the sedan segment ever since its launch in India last year? Speculations are rife that Renault Scala could also be proffered in an automatic variant in the coming time as its clone Sunny is also being developed in the automatic avatar. Scala would be the fifth vehicle from the French car maker Renault in the Indian car market and this would also be the last product which the company had planned for the domestic market when it re-entered India in 2011 with Fleunce luxury saloon.

This is not the first time that the company has used a platform from Nissan to develop a new car, prior to this, Renault used Nissan Micra"s platform to develop Renault Pulse hatchback. The re-badge versions require less investment and also take less time to be developed. Scala"s launch was announced in the beginning of this year and the car is expected to be launched by this festive season.
