Renting Property Via Letting Agents Huddersfield

If you are thinking of relocating in Huddersfield now couldnt be a better time due

to the abundance of rental properties currently on the market in a number of the towns most popular residential districts.

If you are from outside the area here is a brief look at Huddersfield as a town. Huddersfield is an ex industrial town in the old West Riding of Yorkshire, now it is situated in the wider borough of Kirklees. Though Huddersfield main industry which traditionally centred around textiles has died down over the years the town still boasts a number of large specialist employers.

Huddersfield also boasts a highly respected university, whos chancellor is local Mirfield actor and avid Huddersfield Town fan Sir Patrick Stewart. Aside from their recently promoted football team the town also offers top flight rugby league, which it should given the sport was born there in The George Hotel in 1895. Given its clear rugby league past Huddersfield is firmly a league town however Huddersfields Rugby Union team acquits itself well in the northern second division.

As well as a firm offer of professional and local sport along with good employment potential Huddersfield also has an excellent collection of Victorian architecture which would be the envy of many a UK town and city.

Right, so where to live

Town centre accommodation is not exactly plentiful so opting for an area outlying the town centre would be your best bet. One of the closest and coincidentally most appealing areas to the town centre is Greenhead. A short walk up Trinity Street to the north of the town centre will lead you to the beautiful Victorian Greenhead Park, opened in 1884 it is a delightful park to have on your doorstep.

If solid transport links are what you need being near the town centre would mean a short travel time to both the bus and train stations which are very well connected regionally. If you commute by car you have a couple of options, first up you could opt for the very outskirts of the Town bordering Halifax/Elland, this would put you close Junction 24 of the M62 at Ainley top, ideal for commuters to Lancashire. Areas such as Lindley and Oakes often prove popular.

Alternatively a move to areas such as Deighton or Bradley would put you on the doorstep of Junction 25 of the M62 at Brighouse Mirfield.

The M1 isnt as close as the M62 so you would have 2 options, one would be to head down the M62 to Leeds from one of the above locations. Alternatively a move to the south of the town would put you a 20 minute drive away from the Wakefield junction of the M1. Areas such as Honley, Holmfirth and Farnley Tyas would put you in an ideal location.
