There are many different variations of weight for the fabric on the roller shade. Bamboo, canvas, hemp and upholstery are the heavier types of fabrics available. Such fabric is used on the exterior type of window shades. They are called sunshades. They protect the inside window shades and curtains from damage of the suns heat and rays. So, last but not least, this fabric can cost a pretty penny. And is much more difficult to work with. Such fabrics consist of chiffon, Egyptian cotton, and many different types of silk. They might just as well not be mentioned unless it is a must-have. These fabrics might be best if used in rooms with just one window. Like, a closet, an attic and or a bathroom. Then it would be well worth it.
So now that the weight issue has been discussed, the styles of fabric one has to choose from are great. There are many options to what kind of look will come about after it is completed.
