Rough Day? Tear Open Some Product Packaging
The sweet relief of a snack can be all that stands between you and an awful day
. You work hard and it can be unrelenting when some random Wednesday seems permanently stuck at 11:34am and your work seems to be getting more and more daunting as the minutes crawl by. It is at these times where cracking open the flexible packaging on a bag of chocolatey treat or tearing the laminated films on a granola bar can give you both the sweet sugar rush you need to pick you up physically and the delicious flavor stimulation sure to make you smile, if only until your next phone call comes in.
The body needs stimulation and sometimes simply tearing open the colorful product packaging on some snack item can cause some sort of comfortable elation and happiness in a person. A long day can be unbearable without the right stand up pouches full of cookies and flexible packaging full of candy bars. The boost you get in the middle of the afternoon or in the period after breakfast and before lunch from taking some sort of small snack can make things go by faster and can make you feel a comfort and satisfaction that might have been otherwise unattainable.
Why is this? It is the flavor and the sugar and what ever else you are actually putting in your body but the psychological need for indulgences are actually deeper than that. The feeling of product packaging in and of itself is a part of the experience, as is the very nature of consumerism and how buying indulgences can make you feel. The thrill and joy is based on your sense memory of every time you have ever cracked open food packaging. Your body in preparation for the thrill and joy it knows is coming immediately begins letting off endorphins in your brain and makes you feel instant relief. This sort of impulse can be a great way to keep a better attitude as the long days wear on you.
Anyway, back to your long hard day. While many people are avoiding sweets and the like do to a healthier lifestyle those small amounts of candy and other snacks can actually be quite healthy for your mental state. While over indulging in snacks might leave you fat and unhealthy a good balance of a healthy diet with occasional treats can make you feel better in times of trouble.
