Roulette - What are the odds?
Albert Einstein once said, No one can possibly win at roulette unless he steals money from the table while the croupier isnt looking
. Thats not exactly true but winning at roulette can be difficult at the times. To increase your chances of winning at roulette, its important to understand the odds of winning. LiveRoulette.co.uk has provided a basic guide below to help you understand the odds based around a simplistic bet made on the infamous roulette wheel. Knowing the odds of any casino game is important before you play. With roulette however, it can become kind of tricky. With 36 numbers, and either a single zero or double zeros, how is one supposed to be able to tell what their odds are of winning without being a maths genius? Before trying to figure it out, consider the odds of flipping a coin. A coin has two sides heads and tails. If you were to flip it, there would be a 50% chance of it landing on heads and a 50% chance of it landing on tails. If you were to flip the coin 100 times, you could expect it to land on heads 50 times and on tails 50 times. To find out what the odds are of live roulette, you just have to look at the table. A roulette table has numbers on it, all laid out from 0to 36.Some tables also have a 00squares and all 0squares are placed at the top of the table. The dealer will then drop the ball and spin the wheel. The ball will bounce around the live roulette wheel until they both eventually stop. The number that the ball stops on will correspond to a number on the table. The player or players that bet on that number will win however much they bet. If youre playing on a table that only has a single 0placing your bet on a single number will give you a payout of 35 times your wager if the ball lands on the number you placed your bet on. You will have a 1 in 38 chance of winning that much money. To understand it a different way, if you were to place a chip on every number and the 0it would cost you 37 chips. After the ball landed on one number, you would then win back 35 chips while the house would keep two of them. This gives you winning odds of 2.7% meaning that for every 100 chips that you play, the casino would keep 2.7 chips.
