-From the designing perspective, make sure that the rug design does not clash wit the curtain designs, color or any other thing.

-In case the room is already done up, use your rug to pick up one particular color and try to help it bring the room together. Choose the colors wisely as light colors make the room look bigger while dark colored add coziness to the room.

-To avoid tipping on the corners of the rug, tape the corner triangles with a strong double sided tape. This would not let it curl around.

-Make sure you rotate the rugs on an yearly basis to equalize its wear and tear.
