STARCRAFT 2 ADVANCED PROTOSS STRUCTURES
STARCRAFT 2 ADVANCED PROTOSS STRUCTURES
STARCRAFT 2 ADVANCED PROTOSS STRUCTURES
Players in Protoss are able to get access to the initial advanced buildings after having built a Cybernetics Core. All Advanced Protoss buildings require Vespene gas.
The production of such high tech units these buildings allow as well as different upgrades for the different units.
Starcraft2 Advanced Protoss Structures note: But many of these high-end Protoss buildings listed in Starcraft2 Protoss and Structures sections aren't that worth it because of their high cost.
Starcraft2 Advanced Protoss Structures note: You only get to use these buildings in executing a certain strategy or in countering the enemy's troops.
Starcraft2 Advanced Protoss Structures: Twilight Council
Cost: 150 vespene gas, 150 minerals
Requirements: Cybernetics Core
Charge and Blink are this building's two very good technologies.
Starcraft2 Advanced Protoss Structures note: Zealots without Charge are useless when used against ranged units as they are easily kited.
Starcraft2 Advanced Protoss Structures note: Blink on the other hand allows Stalkers in jumping up cliffs and escaping danger very rapidly, thus, making it a powerful upgrade. This also increases the effectiveness of the Stalker against air units significantly.
Starcraft2 Advanced Protoss Structures note: Building of the Dark Shrine and the Templar Archives is allowed by the Twilight Council.
Starcraft2 Advanced Protoss Structures: Templar Archives
Cost: 200 vespene gas, 150 minerals
Requirements: Templar Council
Researches: Khaydarin Amulet, Psionic Storm
Production of the Gateway and High Templar is allowed by the Templar Archives.
Starcraft2 Advanced Protoss Structures note: Psionic Storm can be researched here. This ability inflicts damage to units that are in the area of effect. Khaydarin Smulet can also be researched, incressing High Templar starting with 25 energy.
Starcraft2 Advanced Protoss Structures note: The major disadvantage of this is the Psionic Storm building's high resource cost and researching. The combine cost of these two is 400 vespene gas and 350 minerals then for each High Templar, 150 vespene gas and 50 minerals.
Starcraft2 Advanced Protoss Structures: Dark Shine
Cost: 250 vespene gas, 100 minerals
The Dark shine allows the production of the Gateway and Dark Templar. The slow building time as well as its high Vespene cost are its disadvantages.
Starcraft2 Advanced Protoss Structures: Stargate
Cost: 150 vespene gas, 150 minerals
Requirement: Cybernetics Core
Produces: Phoenix, Carrier, Void Ray
The air production site for the Protoss is the Stargate. This allows players be able in building a Fleet Beacon
Starcraft2 Advanced Protoss Structures: Fleet Beacon
Cost: 200 vespene gas, 300 minerals
Requirement: Stargate
This Fleet Beacon has a number of functions. First is having two technologies: Graviton Catapult and Flux Vanes.
Starcraft2 Advanced Protoss Structures note: Flux Vanes increases significantly the speed and acceleration of the Void Ray. This is very noticeable during the game and it also makes the Void Ray a very effective air unit.
Starcraft2 Advanced Protoss Structures note: Unless you have plenty of Void Rays, Flux Vanes are not worth it though these are a great technology.
Starcraft2 Advanced Protoss Structures note: You'd be able to build 2 Void Rays more at the same cost as the Fleet Beacon and the Flux Vanes, so you have to be careful in committing your resources.
Starcraft2 Advanced Protoss Structures note: The Carrier Interceptors are made to "launch faster by Gravitation Catapult. It would take a long time for the Carriers to start attacking with this ability.
Starcraft2 Advanced Protoss Structures note: This also allows the production of these Carriers at the Nexus' Mothership and at the Starport.
Starcraft2 Advanced Protoss Structures: Robotics Facility
Cost: 100 vespene gas, 200 minerals
Requirement: Cybernetics Core
Produces: Observer, Colossus, Immortal, Warp Prism
The Robotics Facility has the ability to produce 4 Protoss units namely, the Warp Prism, the Colossus, the Observer and the Immortal.
Starcraft2 Advanced Protoss Structures note: The players are also allowed building a Robotics Bay.
Starcraft2 Advanced Protoss Structures: Robotics Bay
Cost: 200 vespene gas, 200 minerals
Requirement: Robotics Facility
Researches: Extended Thermal Lance, Gravitic Booster, Gravitic Drive
The production of Colossi in the Robotics Facility is allowed by the Robotics Bay.
Starcraft2 Advanced Protoss Structures note: This has three technologies. The Extended Thermal Lances increase the Colossus' range so it becomes a Siege Unit. When the enemy is massing some light units or has had himself barricaded in with automated defense, this is worthwhile.
Starcraft2 Advanced Protoss Structures note: Gravitic Booster (this increases the speed of the Overseer) is situational at best. This is worth it only when the enemy is heavily using cloaked units.
Starcraft2 Advanced Protoss Structures note: Gravitic Drive (this increases the movement speed of the Warp Prism) on the other hand is also very situational. This is worth it only when as a part of your strategy, you are using Warp Prisms.
