A paintball isnt just some little ball that wont cause damage. Its traveling at fast speeds and it can hurt you if you dont protect yourself properly. This is why Im going to show you how this sport works and how you can protect yourself while playing.
Youre going to be faced with the choice of whether you should be getting a mask or a helmet. The bare minimum of safety can be fulfilled with a mask. It is going to protect your eyes and mouth from getting shot, but it is the bare minimum. There are a lot of vital points on your head that could still be hit. Imagine getting shot in the ear. It wouldnt be enjoyable.A helmet is going to cover over your entire head, so no matter where you get shot, youll be fully protected.
Body armor is a nice thing to have as well because your torso is probably going to receive the most direct hits. Paintballs will leave bruises and you dont want to end up with a ton of them on your body. Body armor is a simple way to protect the torso area from getting all these bruises. You just put it on before you play and it keeps you protected.
