Salonbiz Software - Handling Frequently Asked Questions
If you have added SalonBiz software into your computers
, there are plenty of resources the company offers for new customers. Rather than search high and low for answers, you may find quick help by going straight to the source. The company prides themselves on offering good customer service to those who have purchased the program, understanding that not every business owner is going to be a computer expert. If you have a persistent question that doesn't necessarily require contacting the company, however, you may find that your question is a common one. Here are some of the most frequently asked.
Staff Member Not Showing
If you can't get a staff member to show up in your appointment book, check in the Blueprints section of the SalonBiz software. Here, you can click on Staff & Book and then on Schedule Group to find the area you need. Now you want to check this section to see if the staff member in question has actually been added to the right group. When initially setting up the program, it's easy to forget to add everyone, and it may just be a question of an oversight.
Customer Isn't Showing Up
One of the biggest selling points of SalonBiz software is the ability to create a database of all your company's clients. Under each customer, you can add notes, log all of their purchases and appointments, and generally use the program as a resource to provide better and more complete customer service. If you can't get a customer to show up when looking at the list, you might want to try filtering your results. Use just a few letters from the first or last name and see if you can minimize the results you're getting. This will let you filter out all of the other names and possibly help you find the one name you're looking for.
Merging Customers
There are several reasons why you may want to merge two customers in your list. Perhaps you have a client who recently got married and had a name change and you didn't previously realize they were one in the same in your computer. Some managers like to merge husbands and their wives, or the rest of the family. To do so, highlight one customer, then click the merge button, and lastly the select button when the pop-up box comes up. You can then search for the second customer and merge them with the OK button. A warning message will pop up. Review this carefully to make sure you're doing what you think you're doing, and then proceed.
