The Samsung Galaxy S is a phone that is causing a lot of mayhem in the high-end smartphone industry mainly because of the fact that it is a phone that has brought the Apple iPhone to its knees. The Samsung Galaxy S is probably the one phone that has challenged the supremacy of the Apple iPhone at the top of the high-end smartphone segment. The Samsung Galaxy S will be coming with the display that measures 4 inches in size. This is a display that is slightly larger than the Apple iPhone's display size of 3.5 inches. Even though this is not a massive difference, it is an appreciable difference to say the least. Another appreciable difference that is present between the two screens has to be the resolution. While the Samsung Galaxy S will be capable of resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, the Apple iPhone will be able to display much lesser than that. Even the retina display technology that is used in the latest Apple iPhone 4 cannot come to the rescue of the Apple brand when it comes to the overall picture.

The Samsung Galaxy S will be coming with the Super AMOLED display technology. This is the next version of the AMOLED display technology, which in itself is being revered by many. The screen will be having a scratch resistant gorilla glass display. This display will be making the best out of the Android operating system due to the presence of all these features. Even though the Samsung Galaxy S comes with the Android 2.1 operating system only, it has recently got the take to the 2.2 Froyo version of the Android operating system. It is not on whether the phone will be supporting the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. The Android operating system will be done using the processor that is rated at 1 GHz.
