Samsung has come up with TVs which gave a strong competition to giants like Sony

, Toshiba, LG, Panasonic etc. The Samsung UN55D8000 is an example of Samsung's legacy of fabulous, consumer oriented electronics. The manufacturer has always been known for the picture quality and stunning design. The Samsung UN55D8000 is not an exception. Let us take a look at the various features of the TV.

Design: Out of the box the Samsung UN55D8000 straight away wins the hearts of the viewers with its stunning looks and slim and sexy design. The all black body with a shiny pedestal complements the LED LCD panel. The bezel of the TV is extremely thin which puts all the emphasis on the video. The frame of the TV is almost non-existent.

Picture: The legacy is once again maintained. This super slim TV from Samsung is capable of providing images which are examples of true class. The amazing color details and the full HD 1080p resolution along with the 240 Hz motion plus, the picture quality is almost unparalleled. The TV is loaded with a technology called micro dimming which allows deep black levels making the picture far more crisp and clear.

3D Technology: The 3D Blu Ray disc provides a quality which leaves the viewers with a jaw dropping experience. The TV has the capability of converting 2D videos into 3D videos but it does not work nicely on several scenes. A certain degree of problem can also be seen with the screen uniformity. Display in low light conditions take up some beating and this is the area where Samsung needs to rework on the TV. Two 3D glasses are available in-house with the TV.

Internet Features: The TV can connect to the internet in two ways. There is an Ethernet jack and users can simply plug in their broadband cable to the jack for direct internet connection. The Samsung UN55D8000 also has a built-in Wi-Fi for internet connection. Once connected to the internet, people can browse sport, YouTube videos, Netflix and even connect to social media sites like Twitter, Facebook etc.

Remote: The remote control performs dual jobs. One one side, it is a full blown TV remote. On the other side, there is a full blown QWERTY keyboard for typing when connected to the internet. Whatever is being typed can be seen on the small display screen available at the top of the keyboard.

Connection: The Samsung UN55D8000 comes with a number of connection features. Wi-Fi and Ethernet jack are already mentioned. Apart from this, there are 4 HDMI and 3 USB ports. There is one D-sub 15 PC input and composite as well as component video ports.

The Samsung UN55D8000 is indeed a smart TV and it has some stunning features. It is the true face of the future technologies where hundreds of utility features will come bundled in one single gadget! Though the TV is bit pricey, the Samsung UN55D8000 is worth every single bit of money spent!
