Santa Teresa County Park is a beautiful park that is located in the Santa Teresa Costa Rica hills. It is located ten miles south of San Jose. This park has a total area of about 1627 acres and offers spectacular views to the visitors. One can view the Santa Clara Valleys and the trails above Almaden from this park. This park also has secluded upland valleys which are great for exploring purposes. So if you're in an adventurous mood then you can go for a bit of exploring in these valleys and enjoy the beauty of natural surroundings.

The park offers a lot of recreational activities to its visitors. There's the Santa Teresa Costa Rica Golf Club for instance which offers many interesting courses such as the 9 hole/par three one or the 18 hole championship one. It also has a clubhouse which includes a pro shop and a restaurant. You can make use of electric carts but these come at a fee. If you want to conduct any ceremony here, there's also banquet facility but you have to make the reservations first. They also have a phone line which you can call if you need to inquire about green fee rates, inquire about the golf course or make reservations.

If cycling around lush green parks is more of your idea for entertainment then you can visit the Santa Teresa Costa Rica county park. It offers more than 18 miles of unpaved trails for all your hiking or biking purposes. There are some steep trails too, like the Coyote Peak. One of the most popular activities in the park is picnicking. The picnic tables here are available on a first come first serve basis. And the barbecue pits also have to be used with precautions. Amplified music is allowed in the park.

The park is open from 8 in the morning until sunset. There is a fee for entry of vehicles. This park is a famous spot for families or friends who want to have a good time away from the malls, movie theatres, etc. It brings them one step closer to Mother Nature. It is a great way to spend your weekends here in the lush green surroundings and under the natural canopy of the blue sky.
