Save Our Forest, Use Steel Instead

It might come to you as a matter of amazement that how can a product of heavy industry

can be helpful in saving our Trees and in turn our Ecology, but its true that using steel as a building material

can do the trick. Until now we have been relying only on wood as a building material however, its about time that we find an alternative to wood.

Steel is not just something that can be used in building skyscrapers but it can also be used in making residential and commercial buildings as well as the houses that we live in. When compared to wood metal has many advantages due to its strength and flexibility. Steel Buildings are known for their greater strength against extreme weather conditions like flood, hurricane, tornado, heavy

snow and thunderstorm. Steel structures are also known for their better resistance against fire. Additionally, you can stay free from the worry of termites if you have used Steel as a building material.

With time and with new manufacturing practices, steel as a building material has evolved which makes it a material that is easy to work with and weld, yet strong and flexible. Steel structures can stay as it is for a long time where as a similar wooden structured building may need to be taken down or may require the dweller to incur heavy maintenance cost with time. Further, if you need

to take down a wooden building then the used wood almost always go to the trash. Whereas if you need to take down a steel building then that steel can be reused in building another commercial or residential property. This characteristic of Steel makes it a far better building material for the environment and ecology in comparison to wood.
