Sc 2 Protoss Dark Templar Rush Build Order - Starcraft 2 Protoss Strategy

As a Protoss player you have one of the most powerful units in Starcraft 2 at your disposal: The Dark Templar

. These units do a huge amount of damage and are permanently cloaked, allowing you to walk by enemy armies with ease and destroy their economy. A Dark Templar will kill an enemy worker in just one hit, which means you can take out a lot of workers really fast in just a few seconds.

One of the best ways to use Dark Templar is to get them out onto the battlefield as fast as possible. This Protoss Dark Templar rush build order will help you do just that. A few minute into the game you will be able to warp in 3 Dark Templars close to your opponent's base and sneak in quickly to massively damage his economy.

Start off with a Pylon at 9/10 supply and a Gateway at 12/18. Build an Assimilator and get 3 Probes in it as soon as it finishes warping in. Keep pumping Probes out of your Nexus with Chrono boost and build another Pylon at 16/18 so you don't get supply blocked. As soon as you have enough gas put down your Cybernetics Core.

At around 20/26 population, build your second Assimilator, you're going to need a lot of Gas in this build. At this point it's a good idea to get a couple of units out to defend any real early pushes that your opponent brings against you. Once you have enough gas, warp in a Twilight Council and research Warp Gate Technology.

Build another Pylon to keep your supply up, and another Gateway to bring more units onto the battlefield. As soon as your Twilight Council is finished, warp in a Dark Shrine. It's a good idea to place this somewhere on the map where your opponent is not likely to see. You could even place it somewhere out of your base so he doesn't realize what you're doing.

Save up enough Gas to warp in 3 Dark Templar when the time comes, you want to get them out as quick as possible. Warp in another Gateway and as soon as your Warp Gate is done researching upgrade them all to Warp Gates. Now when your Dark Shrine gets done you can warp in 3 Dark Templar at the Pylon closest to your enemy's base. The most vulnerable place to attack is in his mineral line to weaken his economy.

After you have your Dark Templar in the game you need to expand and keep building up your army, constantly harassing anywhere that doesn't have detection. Keep making lots of Probes and combat units, and you'll be in good shape to grab the win in the mid to late game.
