Security Guard Card Training
If you are seeking employment as a security guard, you may be asked to obtain a security guard card first. In California, they are more strict in qualifications than other states. You will be required to pass an eight-hour training course, you must pass a background check and you must be fingerprinted. You must also be a minimum of eighteen years of age to be considered for employment.
Although there is an expense to obtaining your security guard card, you will benefit from this cost for years to come. You can expect to pay under $300 to obtain your training and security guard card.
If you are interested in becoming a security guard you will be required to pay for the class or course fee, the California Guard Card application fee, the state online processing fee, and the live scan fee, or fingerprinting.
At Guard Training Online, you will only pay $60 to become fully trained by a state recognized facility. In addition, we can offer this training no matter where you are located. As long as you have a computer and you know your schedule, we will work around your schedule.
You do have several different choices in training facilities. It's important before you make your decision that you explore all your options and you know exactly what your state requires when it comes to security guard card requirements. If you decide to go with our training facility, you will be trained at a fully approved facility that has been approved by the BSIS. The BSIS is in charge of overseeing all the security guard card registrations. The online course allows you to take the course when it best suits your schedule.
After the training is complete, you will be able to stay on top of your application status online as well. This will help you keep track of your application if you are waiting on the security guard card. Once you are accepted, you can print out your security guard card so you can start your employment while you await the hard copy to come in.
At first, you may be starting out at an average rate of $9.00 per hour and gradually increase as you go. You can make a lot more money per hour than this after you begin to get the on-the-job training. While you are working as a security guard, you may want to consider taking more courses to help you get ahead in your new career.
