2.Check Everything Works

Make sure your car is in good working order before you advertise it. If you're selling a car that isn't road legal or is potentially dangerous you could end up with one very unhappy customer. Check the easy things like oil level, coolant, washer fluid etc. and make sure all niggling problems have been fixed.

3.Valet Your Car Inside and Out

Before a potential customer comes to view your car, take some time to make it look as good as new inside and out. There's nothing worse than going to look at your next car and seeing it covered in grime and dirt. If you don't care for your car on the outside it could make someone think you may have not cared for the internal parts of the vehicle either.

4.Price Your Car Fairly

Have a look at what other similar cars in the same condition are priced at, and base your total around this. It'll be tempting to undercharge as it may guarantee your car will be gone quickly, however people could also be wary if it's priced too low.

5.Keep The Service History

A car with complete service history immediately gives the buyer a piece of mind. It shows you've looked after your vehicle. More importantly, they can see every bit of work your car has needed and what they don't have to replace.
