Sending the weird and the wonderful to you

eBay, the online auction and shopping website offers a platform where by millions of items are traded each day

. More and more users are using internet auction sites to buy and sell anything from electrical items to clothing. According to Wikipedia the very first item that was sold on eBay was a broken laser pen setting of the mark for strange and obscure items and services that are offered through this medium. But as the internet auction craze has grown so has the list of these kinds of things being sold. It has been amazing to see what can actually be sold and how much people are willing to pay.

One man named Ian Usher was so fed up of his whole life that he decided a change was in order so what did he do, he put it on eBay of course! He sold his home, his car, his job and even instructions to his friends in Australia. The winning bidder ended up paying around 200,000 for Usher's life on the auction site.

Musician Dante Knoxx once tried to sell his soul on the site but as the internet auction site simply wouldn't allow it, the listing didn't even get any bids before the removal. Sam Duckworth another musician ended up selling himself on eBay for 2,100 to raise money for Oxfam. The lucky winner got a private set with the musician at their home.

Someone once tried to sell the internet online at the bargain asking price of $1 million! It's unlikely that the transaction ever went through but it could have been seen as the deal of the century the buyer was even throwing in free internet access.

Two sisters from Virginia found a cornflake that was roughly the shape of Illinois so they put it straight on to the online site. They managed to attract bids of over $1000!

Finally, to finish off the weird yet slightly wonderful things being put up for grabs on the auction sites, is what else but the meaning of life. Yes, someone managed to figure it all out and put it up for sale - although it only managed to fetch eight bids and went for $3.26.

So if you're not already getting involved in buying and selling online, it is a must. You don't have to be selling your soul or cereal that looks like states, but simply anything you don't want anymore that may be of use to someone else. One way of joining the craze is simply listing items on the site, watch as your bids rise then sell your items to the highest bidder, and it's that simple. All you need to do after that is receive the payment and get the items delivered to the lucky highest bidder through a parcel delivery.

So if you're looking at getting involved check out the parcel delivery services near you and ensure you get great prices to maximise your profits by using an efficient parcel service Ireland.
