Seo Keeping It Simple

One of the biggest mxitakes in SEO and SEO marketing is trying too hard

. A lot of times we feel the need to create our content around our chosen keywords, titles, ect. I have found that the harder I try to rank, 1) the more cheesy my content is and 2) it seems to hold me back rather than boost me foward.

Lately with my online marketing techniques I've been trying a theory that goes with a lot of things in life. I learned it many years ago, the acronym "KISS" (I learned it as Keep It Simple, Stoner). Not going to get into the whole stoner aspect of the comment, but more focus on the KIS-Keep It SImple. In SEO and website marketing it's good to be aggressive, but too much aggressiveness can dock your rankings. Sometimes a nice simple approach works pretty well. A few words of advice.

Choose your overall keywords for your website that are easily attainable and the competition is low. Don't go after the hardest ranking keywords or the keywords that will take you two years to rank for. Not to bust your bubble but we are looking for serach keywords that you can easily shoot to the first page for, and hopefully in the #1 position.

Another tip I try to follow is don't overstuff your keywords. Some example keywords for this article could be seo, simple seo, search engine optimization, ez seo, ect, but don't overkill it. And use a nice mixture of keywords 1) that goes good with the content and 2) key phrases you would like to search for. After you make enough content on your site you will be sure to rank nicely.

Sometimes people say content is king, but I've found out too much content can be a killer. Make sure your articles are long enough to read, but not pages and pages and pages long. If you have really long content, consider maybe making a post in parts and update it every couple days until you have it all posted. I think around 500-800 words is enough. Don't write huge articles unless you need to and the content is deserving. If you are writing a technical matter this might not apply to you.

Nice and easy titles, not too long. Just nice and easy and to the point, and hopefully you can get your article focus keyword in the title as well. This is always a plus but don't overstuff it! The title of this article is "Keep It SImple SEO". Perfect, I don't need any "easy seo techniques, tutorials, ect. This is just a simple article about keeping your seo efforts simple.

Make sure you get a variety of backlinks, not just some spammy blogs. And if you are using seo software (automation software, ect) like scrapebox, don't post your link on pages with more than 100 links. Might as well filter those all out. I know sometimes when dealing with huge site lists it takes a little while to filter the list down, but then you can find some good blogs that you can post a legitimate comment to and maybe even return your visit and see any updates.

Don't use auto spammy comments that comes with scrapebox. Use the fast commenter sparingly, preferably only to get a few backlinks generated quickly, but after your site is a couple months old, just use scrapebox to find blogs you want to post a good, manually written comment on. I hate spammy comments and I usually don't approve them. If someone posts a comment that is on topic and doesn't plug their site right in the middle of the comment, I usually allow it. It's the reward for a hand written comment and actually taking 2 minutes to write a little something that pertains to my blog.

Above all, keep trying!. Make sure you vary your backlinks through social media, blog posts, forum back links, and write a few good articles and submit those to some high page rank article directories.

Above all just relax and Keep it simple. You'll be glad you did when you effortlessly rank better and better, instead of aggressivly trying to take over a certain keyword.

I would have to agree that it takes a perfect mixture of aggressive / passive seo techniques. Don't be too passive and don't be too aggressive. Don't force your links, but don't sit back and accept no or very few incoming links.
