Setting Up Your Affiliate Marketing Campaign
The easiest method to promote affiliate offers is by using a simple blog
. It's quick and easy to set up so don't worry about it. I'll explain to you how this can be done. You'll be amazed how quickly you can learn the process and can put up site after site in no time!
Go to Blogger.com and set up a free blog. The process is simple and Blogger will walk you through the process. Give your blog an address and a title. It's ideal to name the blog after your niche and then choose a theme. Pick a theme with a light or white colored background as light text on a dark background can be difficult to read.
Write a review about your product on your blog. Don't try and make it too hyped or sales oriented. Write it as if you were telling a good friend about the product that you have found and the words will flow naturally onto the page. You can then link the product to your affiliate URL so readers can be taken to the product sales page on the vendor's site.
This is a very basic method of promoting a product and you will get many more sales if you take things a step further. This would involve creating your own website and using a squeeze page and auto-responder to collect the names of your potential customers before they move on to buy from the vendor. I cover this in another article.
Generating Traffic To Your Website Or Blog
Now that you have a means to give potential customers your affiliate link, you need to find a way to get that prospect to view your blog in the first place. This is what we call 'traffic'. When the prospects are interested in your niche, we call that 'targeted traffic' and that is obviously the kind of traffic we are looking for. But how do we get this traffic?
There are very effective methods of gaining traffic that cost money, but if you are just starting out and don't have a budget, there are plenty of free options available and that is what we are going to concentrate on today.
Specifically, we are going to talk about generating traffic through Article Submission.
Write as many articles as you can on the subject of your niche. If you are stuck for ideas, start with 'How To' and '3 Ways' and suchlike. These are often popular articles for readers interested in knowing more about a product or service.
The length of the article should ideally be at least 500 words long, as articles less than this may not include enough valuable information and some article sites do not allow fewer words than 500.
Each article should really only take you around a half to one hour, assuming you do not need to research for it. Again just write in a natural way, as if you were having a conversation with someone and you will find the writing much easier.
Once your article is finished and you have picked the perfect title, it is time to write the author bio box - this is the part of the article where you get to promote your site as you are not allowed to do so within the article body itself.
Don't finish your article with a closing statement. Let it naturally flow into your author bio or resource box as it is sometimes called. If you 'finish' the article then you do not encourage the reader to view your link in the following lines.
The ideal way to really get to grips with affiliate marketing is to join a specialized internet marketing membership program where you will be taken through the whole process of generating massive income online. It really is the best way to overcome overwhelm and focus your efforts in the right way.
