You've decided to work from home, but now you've got the task of setting up an office area in your home

. Here are a few essentials that you shouldn't miss out when setting up a home office.

Office Furniture:

You need to be comfortable and it all begins with furniture.But first things first, the whole idea of a home office is to separate it from your home life.

It's no good sitting on your sofa with your laptop with the TV on in the background. You are not setting your psyche up that you are now at work and not playing around with your PC!

Fair enough, your commute will now not be that 1 hour train journey and it's been replaced with that 1 minute kitchen to spare room/office journey, but you must get in the right frame of mind.

Some kind of filing cabinet

Diary

Did you know that if you keep the receipts for this equipment, you can set this off against your tax.

Give your new office a make-over.Choose your colors wisely, it's important. For example, try to avoid strong colors such as reds, blues and yellows and go for more tranquil and mood relaxing colors as gentle sage greens, light beige's and creams.

This is the basic set-up and only buy what you can afford. Keep buying new equipment as and when you need it and as and when you can afford it!
