The Seven deadly sins of Network Marketing revealed. 1. Sloth: They tell you it's only going to take 10 hours a week to run your business and maybe they're right but first you need to create a business and that's going to take time and effort. Slacking off on regular tasks, research, personal development or online marketing training is not going to bring your results. Remember: You harvest what you plant and planting laziness is going to b ring you weeds. 2. Gluttony: You joined several companies, jumped into every "next best opportunity" and gave up on anything that didn't make you $2000 in the first week - or month. Where has it gotten you? Realise there is no such thing as the next best opportunity. There's no such thing as a better opportunity, scheme or system - only a better marketer and that better marketer will be someone else if you can't control your desire for more instead of making what you have work. 3. Wrath: Anger is a deconstructive thing and many of us are able to control ourselves in public and hold back from making those biting remarks we're tempted to let rip with. Too often though, we fail to give ourselves the same treatment. Many people are so hard on themselves they set ridiculous goals, schedules tighter than a size 00 g-string and standards higher than the Meir Space Station and then berate themselves for not being perfect. Set goals and celebrate achieving them but remember this: if what you are saying to yourself is too mean to say to a stranger - why are your saying it to the most important person in your life? 4. Pride: Oh, how many online marketers have crashed and burned because they thought they knew it all and didn't take the time to learn from others. Use leverage to learn from other people's mistakes and successes - you may not think you need that $80 online course but if it costs you $200 and 200 hours to learn the same thing then you're not working as well as you could be. 5. Lust: is a great way to create the energy for your business and an effective person can redirect their lust into the drive and passion to run their business. Where many network marketers fall apart is when they rely on endless meetings, events and motivational talks to "boost" their enthusiasm for the business. They use lust as the drug to force them to stick to the business and compensate for a lack of success. If you're business is not successful you need to look at every aspect of the business rather than getting a "fix" of enthusiasm which provides no actual practical help. 6. Greed: It's possible to make money online; it's also possible to make a lot of money online. But too many people let their greed and impatience to make lots of money as fast as possible for as little effort as possible get in the way of their common sense and what happens? Instead of investing in quality educational courses and eBooks they blow their cash on "get rich by doing nothing at all" schemes which are little more than well marketed scams. Think before you buy: are you buying it to earn more or learn more? 8. Envy: Mike Dillard, George Brown and Daegan Smith all earn heaps of money - how come I'm not? Wasting your time and energy wishing you were someone else is not constructive and may even stall your progress as you put yourself into a funk of frustration. Turn your envy into a constructive mentor relationship and learn from those you are envious of and set a goal to be more like them one day. Like many things, Network Marketing requires a love and passion for what you're doing, lots of patience and a stable financial background until you are earning enough money. If you're lacking any of these you may be best looking at your motivation for being in the business or you may find yourself slipping into some of the "deadly sins" and wasting your time and money.
